The Regional Winners of the Scottish Hotel Awards 2018

Over 250 members of the Scottish Hospitality industry have attended three different award ceremonies last week.

 

The first one took place at Blythswood Square Hotel, where regional winners from the Argyll & Lomond, Glasgow & Clyde and South West regions were awarded and celebrated by 150 industry peers.

 

The regional winners for the Highlands, Island and North East were announced on 17th January at the Rocpool Reserve Hotel in Inverness and the third ceremony for the Borders, Central & Fife and Edinburgh & Lothians regions took place on Friday, 19th January at the Principal Hotel Edinburgh George Square

 

A few important changes have been implemented this year to better assess a larger number of participating hotels in the fairest way possible. Among the changes, Scotland’s longest running and most well-established hotel awards scheme adopted new categories such as Pastry Chef of the Year for the People of Excellence Awards, different categories for 4 and 5 star City Hotels, Contemporary Hotel Bar and Classic Hotel Bar, Most Accessible Hotel, Large Wedding Hotel and Intimate Wedding Hotel among others.
