Read MoreThe first of the three regional award ceremonies organised by the Scottish Hotel Awards 2019 took place today at The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow.
Today's awards were presented to the winners of the Glasgow & Clyde, South West and Argyll & Lomond regions, all the winners now go forward to the national awards taking place on Sunday, the 28th April.
Each year, for the last 15 years, the Scottish Hotel Awards seek out, encourage and celebrate the successes of Scotland’s outstanding hospitality professionals and properties.
The winners of the Argyll & Lomond, Clyde, Glasgow and South West regions were awarded in the presence of over 90 members of the Scottish Hospitality industry. The regional winners for the Highlands, Island and North East will be announced on 16 January at Bunchrew House Hotel in Inverness and the third ceremony for the Borders, Central & Fife and Edinburgh & Lothians regions will take place on 18 January at the Principal Hotel Edinburgh Charlotte Square. This year a few important changes have been implemented to better assess a larger number of participating hotels in the fairest way possible. Among the changes, Scotland’s longest running and most well-established hotel awards scheme adopted new categories such as Luxury for some of the categories as well as more location-based awards such as Lochside and Coast hotel.
