The four star, three Rosette Airds Hotel & Restaurant at Port Appin in Argyll has performed extremely well in the recent, highly prestigious, Readers Travel Awards operated by Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, one of the UK’s leading titles in luxury travel.

Nominated in three categories - Best UK Boutique Hotel, Best UK Hotel for Food, and Most Romantic UK Hotel, Airds, which has eleven bedrooms, came 9th for Best Boutique, 7th for Food and 9th for Romance – a triple of Top 10 ratings within fierce competition from all over the country.

Using only readers online votes, the awards rate top luxury hotels in the UK and abroad in a range of categories which also include best locations for golf, best facilities for business, most impressive spa facilities and best family hotel. They also rate geographic locations, such as best coastal and best City Hotels.

Having recently joined the burgeoning hospitality portfolio of The Fusion Group of Companies, through an innovative joint asset management venture with the overseas owner, Airds Hotel & Restaurant has consistently attracted multiple ratings. It’s a member of a number of prestigious industry bodies including Luxury Scotland, Pride of Britain Hotels, and Relais & Chateaux.

Welcoming the news on Airds strong performance in the LLM Awards, Alex McKie, Group Managing Director of Fusion said; “This is absolutely the best news on which to end the year at Airds Hotel & Restaurant, cementing our position as one of Scotland’s leading luxury boutique Hotels. As the award ratings show we have both the stunning, romantic setting that couples want to experience together, plus the outstanding locally sourced food & drink offering to back it up. Couples come here to relax and to eat well, especially sampling the local seafood. They can enjoy treasured time together in this most beautiful part of Scotland.”

Mr McKie stated that Airds Hotel & Restaurant was currently being refurbished, and would unveil its new look in the Spring of 2023.

“We want to ensure that Airds continues to perform well in awards such as LLM, where you are up against the very best across the whole of the UK, not just Scotland,” he said. “It’s really important to constantly reinvest in the business from an interiors point of view, so that guests’ high expectations are continually met. Airds has a new impetus now for 2023.”

“Customers opinions are really the ones that matter most, and on behalf of the Airds team, we would like to thank everyone who voted for us. As well as unveiling a luxurious new look, we will be connecting with many local luxury activity providers in the area to offer guests an enhanced concierge service so they can indulge their passions when they stay with us, whether it’s a sailing trip along the coast, a bespoke whisky experience, or a sightseeing off the beaten track guided tour,” finished Mr McKie.
