The Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Stars Awards celebrate the “crème de la crème of the hospitality industry, showering praise and recognition on hard-working staff members. Now in its fifth year, these are Awards with a key difference. Rather than handing out gongs to business owners, we are searching for individuals and teams who work tirelessly every day to give their guests the best possible experience.”

Glenapp Castle is a 17-bedroom Relais & Chateaux hotel, tucked away on the breath-taking Ayrshire coast. The castle sits proudly in its landscape and comes complete with fairy-tale turrets and crenellations. The hotel’s 36 acres of gardens and woodlands, now pollinated by the castle’s very own bees, provide the hotel with most of its fruit and vegetables.
The hotel’s restaurant team is made of hospitality professionals, passionate about providing an outstanding personal service. The restaurant’s manager, Edite, has been at the castle for over 8 years. Not only does she have excellent food and wine knowledge, but she also trains her team to provide a friendly service where each member of the team can bring their own personality to the role. The team focuses on building wonderful relationships, meaning that 60% of guests return each year.
Edite is totally committed to her team and, with such hard work, it comes as no surprise that she has been selected as a finalist.
