Edinburgh based Ecosse EV provides eco-friendly ground transportation in Scotland with a fleet of white Tesla Vehicles.
We are passionate about sustainability in Hospitality and proud of the many hotels in Scotland that embrace greener policies. Giving guests the opportunity to enhance their experience travelling to and from the hotel can also be an interesting tool to showcase and strengthen brand values.
We take every opportunity to encourage Hotels to make sure they provide EV charging facilities to guests as Scotland boasts some of the most scenic driving routes in the world and the future of transport are EVs. You can find out more about our experience with EV charging points at hotels in Scotland here.
Kimpton was the first hotel brand to become 100 percent portfolio-wide certified by the Green Key Eco-Rating Program and the brand has won multiple awards touting its environmental leadership, such as the Condé Nast World Savers Award and the National Geo Tourism Award, presented by National Geographic and the Travel Industry Association of America. Kimpton is also the first major hotel brand to have 100 percent portfolio-wide participation in the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders™ program.
They adopt a number of green and sustainable procedures, among them the use of nontoxic cleaning supplies, extensive recycling, and control of water consumption. They have also partnered with Clean the World which collects and recycles soap and hygiene products discarded every day by the hospitality industry and other sectors.
Speaking to Stephen Dunn, Chief Operating Officer at Ecosse EV, he said:
“As pressure mounts to lower carbon emissions in the city, we’re thrilled that Kimpton Charlotte Square are leading the way by engaging Ecosse EV, as their zero emissions guest transportation partner. As with all luxury hotels, private transportation forms a large part of the experience and I believe this switch to a greener energy source, demonstrates a strong commitment to their corporate social responsibility, which we are looking forward to supporting”
Johan Scheepers, General Manager at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel said: "At the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel we are leading the way in lowering carbon emissions and are proud to be the first hotel in Scotland to use fully electric chauffeur services for all our guests."
