Macdonald Aviemore Resort is gearing up to welcome an estimated 700 children during a bumper season of its renowned Santa Weekends.

Continuing the Resort’s 50+ years as a leading location for festive fun, this year will see Santa Weekend guests welcomed across four consecutive weekends with arrivals on November 30th and December 7th, 14th and 21st.

After young guests check in on the Resort’s “Naughty” or “Nice” lists and enjoy Christmas pies and hot chocolate, the three-night family break starts with the chance to unwind in a unique family dining atmosphere by sampling culinary delights from the Resort’s mouth-watering festive food stalls.  Saturday and Sunday bring free flowing entertainment, the hilarious Aladdin pantomime, a free movie, a gala dinner and Big Big Christmas Show and, of course, the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer in their Highland home.

In addition will be the chance to enjoy fully inclusive access to the Aviemore Activity Centre which is set to undergo a festive transformation to become an Elf Village bursting with activities such as an elf workshop, elf uniform design, festive art and crafts and a trip to Mrs Claus’ kitchen.

Adding to the Christmas capers this year will be a real-life “Elf of the Shelf” who is set to unleash mischief and mayhem during weekends bursting with family fun.

During a packed festive season, Macdonald Aviemore Resort will also continue its long-term support of the local fundraising Santa Run on December 15th, providing a kids’ pack for every child taking part in the event.

Commenting on the plans for this year’s festive fun, Managing Director Ian Peck said: “Macdonald Aviemore Resort is synonymous with Christmas and the festive season is one of our favourite times of year.  The magic which our Santa Weekends create is unique and we hope that all of our visitors will leave with special memories of their festive visit.”
