- Highland Coast Hotels is excited to announce a new discount for Locals Community Card scheme across its hotels which will benefit local residents in the North Highland area.

Anybody living within 15 miles of a Highland Coast Hotel is now eligible to apply for the new Highland Coast Community Card which will provide a discount to eat, drink and stay at the hotels.

Following the group’s launch in April 2021, Highland Coast Hotels acquired several of the region’s landmark hotels; Kylesku Hotel and Newton Lodge on the west coast and the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch and the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora on the east coast. For those living near these hotels, the Community Card will provide:

●    A 30% discount in the restaurants and bars, all year round
●    A 50% discount off an overnight stay at any hotel, from October to March inclusive

Locals will be able to use the discount across all four hotels, offering the chance for those based in Dornoch to visit Kylesku, for example. Three of the hotels have recently reopened following a short winter closure, with the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora due to reopen in April following an extensive renovation. To register for the card, North Highland residents are encouraged to head to the online form on their local hotel website’s Community Page.  Alternatively, application forms will also be available at the hotels. The Highland Coast Community Card will then be sent out by post to the address provided.

The new scheme will further Highland Coast Hotels’ commitment to the region by encouraging locals to come together with friends and family to enjoy the hotels, each of which sits at the heart of its community.

David Whiteford, Highland Coast Hotel’s Chairman explained:. Our locals discount scheme is just one of several community initiatives from the group. It’s vitally important that locals can socialise in our premises with friends and family and feel just as welcome as our visitors from elsewhere. Indeed, Highland Coast Hotels already invests in the surrounding area, from listing local Food and drink suppliers, arts and crafts producers as well as pointing our guests in the direction of local activity providers. By hosting regular Community Liaison Group meetings with community leaders we’ve already managed to create collaborative opportunities that in turn should create, we hope more local career opportunities and business start-ups .

Through its substantial investment and modernisation programme, Highland Coast Hotels is raising the standards of its hotels on and around Scotland’s most popular coastal touring route, as well as boosting regional growth. Providing memorable hospitality for those visiting the North Highlands, the group’s intention is to be recognised as the leading set of independent-spirited hotels on the NC500, for those wishing for welcoming, comfortable and authentic experiences in this spectacular landscape.
