Dakota Glasgow and Dakota Eurocentral Hotels are set to launch their first sustainable cocktail recipe with zero waste and maximum taste this summer
Following COP26 where Dakota Eurocentral was the sole hub for all e buses and the recent installation of a 400 solar panel roof, sustainability is something the Eurocentral hotel is placing a great deal of emphasis on as we approach one year since COP26.
According to Food & Beverage Manager Kieran Docherty, sustainable cocktails should focus on “minimising waste and utilising environmentally friendly ingredients without compromising on taste or standards”.
The Dakota sustainable sumer spritz will incorporate a zero-waste cordial with offcuts of zests of lime, orange, grapefruit and cucumber and the main recipe will include a Fernet Branca (5ml) Suze (5ml) plus a dash of zero waste cordial, topped off with Telmont Champagne, a brand that prides itself on its green credentials and ambitious eco plans, that motivated renowned activist and actor Lenoardo DiCaprio to invest in earlier this year.
The feel good sustainable summer spritz cocktail will be served in a Prohibition wine glass with a large ice block and should be shaken and strained for the perfect serve.
The cocktail will be available in both the Dakota Glasgow and Eurocentral hotels from the 15th August on their ‘Our Kind Of Classics’ menu.
