Cameron House on Loch Lomond welcomes Andrea Molloy as its new Director of Spa. With more than thirty years’ experience within the spa and wellness industry, Andrea brings expertise in concept and brand development, strategic planning, innovative treatments, and trends to the resort’s award-winning spa.
Andrea joins Cameron House following a position as International Training Manager at ESPA International for ten years. Here, Andrea taught at five of the world’s most luxurious resorts, including The Corinthia in London, Only & Only Reethi Rah Maldives and Four Seasons Lisbon - teaching the full ESPA syllabus in a range of areas from ayurvedic treatments and sleep rituals to mindful massages.
Andrea has also worked as Managing Director for Spa Developments Consultancy, which places her in an unrivalled position with expertise in both spa practices and methods, as well as spa business strategy.
Andrea will be working closely with Leeann McKenna, who has also recently been promoted to Treatments Manager at Cameron House. In this role she will be overseeing the therapy team, training and guiding them as the spa launches its brand-new selection of innovative treatments. Leeann has worked as a senior therapist at Cameron House for six years and explains she is ‘very excited to support Andrea on this next phase of the Cameron Spa.’ Andrea and Leeann are also joined by Jennifer Wilson, who has been appointed as Spa, Golf and Leisure Operations manager. Jennifer will be driving an integrated approach across all leisure offerings at Cameron House, and together Jennifer, Andrea and Leeann will support and train the committed and prosperous Leisure and Spa team at Cameron House.
On her new role, Andrea has stated: ‘Supporting and coaching a team is something I am passionate about. I am really looking forward to achieving the highest level of skill development within the team, and ultimately making Cameron Spa one of the leading spas in the country.’
One of Andrea’s earliest roles was as a spa therapist at Cameron House, and Resort Director Andy Roger comments, ‘We could not be happier to welcome Andrea back to the team after almost 30 years. Following 10 years of travelling the globe with her role at ESPA, Andrea will be bringing her international expertise to propel Cameron House’s five-star spa into achieving international recognition for its excellence’.
A key focus for Andrea in her new position will be creating a holistic, mindfulness approach to all offerings at the Cameron Spa and pairing this with non-invasive technology. Andrea takes a hands-on method and will be personally training her large team of therapists, spa managers, and spa attendants to achieve a mindful and positive message across the spa. Sing bowl mediation is just one of the new experiences Andrea will be introducing at the Cameron Spa, along with more traditional mindfulness practices including frequent yoga and meditation sessions for guests. A huge advocate of mindfulness, Andrea explains ‘What mindfulness means to me is being in the present moment, accepting thoughts we have in non-judgemental way, and speaking to ourselves with kindness and finding a way of release’, and this ethos will be reflected across the Cameron Spa.
