Nicholas Russell, Managing Director of the award-winning Balbirnie House Hotel will be lacing up his walking boots this week, as he embarks on a 500-mile walk from Portree to Edinburgh.
The group hopes that the introduction of Blockchain technology would provide a basis for wider voter participation in Scotland, and could prove crucial in future votes on issues such as Brexit and a second independence referendum.
Nicholas who has owned and managed Balbirnie House Hotel for over 25 years has been a long-time proponent of the technology, and the hotel held an international conference on the subject earlier this year.
The #500mile walk will be opened by MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber Ian Blackford, and it’s hoped that the walkers will be joined by supporters throughout the route, and the endeavour has even gained the support of 500 Miles singers, The Proclaimers!
