Ardanaiseig Hotel is the second independent hotel in Scotland to appeal to members of the public to help the property survive the global pandemic.

The first hotel to launch a crowdfunding campaign was Dornoch Castle Hotel, the property achieved their £40k target within 3 days from posting the appeal.

Ardanaiseig Hotel is an award-winning hotel and popular wedding venue set on the banks of Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands.

Christine Fox, Managing Director at Argyll Hospitality Management said:

"We are unfortunate that we do not qualify for grant relief due to our rateable value on current guidelines. We are hoping people will support us in these hard times it’s difficult for everyone especially our loyal and hardworking team members. As new business owners with less than two years trading funding from banks is looking almost impossible for us".

Ardanaiseig Hotel's crowdfunding page reads:

The global COVID-19 pandemic has affected millions of people across the globe, not least small businesses such as ours.

We know that this will not last forever.  To secure the hotel's future we are offering a number of vouchers in return for pledges of various levels.  Otherwise the struggle for survival will become even more difficult.

These pledges will help with immediate cashflow at a time when other funding is uncertain.  It will also allow the hotel to complete a number of ongoing projects, including the completion of a kitchen refurbishment, the restoration of its Victorian kitchen garden and the introduction of some self catering accommodation.

We have a team of 13 loyal, hardworking staff whose livelihood also depends on this project.  Without this project and your support, their future is uncertain too.

We play a part in our local community too, and need to be able to keeping doing so.

In the Future

When 'Lockdown' is over, although everyone says there will be a 'new normal', people will still want to relax and enjoy peace and quiet.  People will still want to celebrate, especially family events like weddings and birthdays.  People will want to escape their city and retreat to a countryside haven to enjoy calm and mindfulness.  Ardanaiseig is perfect for all of those things.

In Spring the estate is a riot of colour with flowers and plants of every colour blooming.  Through the Summer, the grounds offer relaxation and a union with nature.  In the Autumn and Winter, the area is atmospheric, with serenity throughout.

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner.
