Here at Denby, we pride ourselves on the strength and exceptional craftsmanship of our pottery, which we've been making in England for over 200 Years. We still source our super strong Derbyshire clay from just behind our factory as we did centuries ago. And using time-honoured skills and traditions, we turn it by hand into beautiful stoneware.
Four generations back, artists in Derbyshire became pottery pioneers when they used their skills to turn strong clay into the famous Denby collections we love today. We're proud that their skills and attention to detail are still very much alive. We now have over 5000 glazes and a growing range of distinctive colours, shapes and patterns - all hand finished, so no piece is ever exactly the same. In fact, only after being passed through 25 pairs of hands is each piece then awarded the Denby seal of approval.
Today we continue to go from strength to strength, crafting timeless collections that exude English heritage and seeking out current trends to create modern ones.
